One 1.5kw fan running four 200 tonne
pods, three fans ran from one 5kw
generator composting 2000 tonnes
at a cost of 0.31p per tonne over
the six week period.

Aeration control vents are placed
along both sides of the pod.
Insulation jackets are fitted to
ensure high peripheral temperatures
are reached when necessary.

Temperatures are taken using hand held
probes and by six data loggers placed
inside the pod.
A temperature of 71.4c being recorded
between the insulation jacket and pod.
